I graduated from the University of North Texas in the early ’70s and immediately joined the Air Force Reserve as a pilot candidate, flying C-141s around the world, including missions to Vietnam, Australia, Israel, and Japan. While in the Reserves, I was hired by American Airlines, where I went on to enjoy a 30-year career.

During a brief layoff early on, I launched a small acoustic ceiling installation business and kept things going between that and the military. Years later, based in Dallas, I saw an opportunity to help retiring pilots manage their pensions. I got licensed, joined a few advisory firms (and quickly left them when they refused to pay), and eventually launched my own. Within 10 years, I was managing $113M for retired pilots and was a top producer with American Funds and Fidelity.

After retiring early from American Airlines, I focused on growing the firm, until a rough divorce and life transition brought things to a halt. I later moved back to California to care for my mother and began building websites and running online marketing campaigns. I wasn’t thrilled with most of the programs I found, until discovering Go High Level.
